1. Overview

These terms govern your use of the StrategicSystems website and services. By using this site or engaging my services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or services.

StrategicSystems is a consulting and software practice based in Alberta, Canada.

2. Services Offered

StrategicSystems builds the bridge between the field and the office for construction and trades businesses. Services are delivered across three tiers:

• ·ERP Rescue · Legacy Lifeline: discovery, custom web applications layered on an existing ERP, API bridges, and automated reporting.
• ·Applications & Automations: fixed-scope tools such as RFI trackers, estimating dashboards, automated daily reports, and bridges between client and contractor systems.
• ·The Independent Sub Kit: a productized field-capture and reporting package for independent sub-contractors.

The Free Systems Audit on this website is offered at no cost as a diagnostic starting point.

3. Not Accounting, Legal, or Tax Advice

The founder holds a CPA designation. The services provided through StrategicSystems are consulting, software development, and process improvement in nature. Nothing on this website or in my engagements constitutes accounting, assurance, audit, legal, tax, or investment advice.

In particular, the "Free Systems Audit" and any engagement described as an audit or review of your systems is an operational diagnostic. It is not an audit, review, or compilation engagement performed under CPA assurance standards, and it produces no assurance opinion on your financial statements. Always consult qualified professionals for decisions specific to your financial, legal, or tax situation.

4. The Free Systems Audit

The online Free Systems Audit is a preliminary assessment tool. Your Systems Score is generated algorithmically from your own self-reported answers to fifteen questions across three axes - Field Capture, Office Flow, and Data Trust. It is a starting point for a conversation, not a definitive evaluation of your business, and any tier I recommend is a suggestion rather than a professional opinion. A full, evidence-based review of your systems is available through a paid engagement only.

5. Engagements & Scope

Every paid engagement is governed by a separate written agreement covering scope, deliverables, timelines, fees, and support. Where that agreement conflicts with these terms, the engagement agreement governs. Work outside an agreed scope is quoted separately before it begins.

6. Pricing & Payment

• ·All prices are quoted in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.
• ·Pricing shown on this website is indicative and subject to change without notice.
• ·Payment methods and terms are set out in each engagement agreement.
• ·Applicable taxes are additional unless the quote states otherwise.

7. Access to Your Systems & Data

My work often requires access to your ERP, accounting system, or field data. You are responsible for confirming that you are authorized to grant that access, and for maintaining current backups of any system I am asked to work alongside. I take reasonable care with the access I am given, use the least data necessary to do the work, and treat everything I see as confidential.

I do not share your business data with third parties, and I do not use it to train third-party systems.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website - text, frameworks, code, and design - is the intellectual property of StrategicSystems. You may not reproduce, distribute, or republish it without written permission.

Ownership and licensing of custom work built for a client is set out in that client's engagement agreement. Underlying tools, libraries, and templates that pre-date or sit beneath a custom build remain mine, and are licensed to you for use with the delivered work.

9. Third-Party Software

StrategicSystems is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Oracle, SAP, Sage, Viewpoint, Track, Explorer, or any other software vendor named on this site. All trademarks belong to their respective owners. I do not control those products' licensing, uptime, pricing, or future changes, and I am not responsible for how they behave.

10. Limitation of Liability

StrategicSystems provides this website and its information on an "as-is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

• ·Your use of, or reliance on, information provided through this website.
• ·Decisions you make based on Systems Audit results or consulting recommendations.
• ·Software or hardware issues beyond my direct control.
• ·Third-party service failures, including ERP vendors, hosting providers, and network providers.

Liability for paid work is addressed in the relevant engagement agreement.

11. Privacy

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising from these terms or my services shall be resolved in the courts of Alberta.

13. Changes to These Terms

I may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date below. Continued use of the site or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
